The AEF was founded in 1987 by James D. Parker as a privately owned and funded foundation. The AEF’s mission is to promote harmony within the plant and animal kingdoms by preserving the environment and protecting the animals, both wild and domestic. Through raw land acquisitions, education, and animal stewardship the AEF is dedicated to keeping America beautiful and furthering respect for animal life.
