In keeping with our policy of land preservation, the area behind the AEF Headquarters is a work in progress. Take a look at what we’ve done with our backyard--it’s now a secluded park in the city and is being prepared as a bird sanctuary.
The AEF farm land in rural Virginia Beach is a combination of forest, wetland, and farm land with vast undisturbed wildlife. The front acreage is currently being farmed with corn and is inhabited with birds of all kinds. The back wetland and forest acreage is densely treed and undisturbed. Many foxes, rabbits, squirrels opossum, deer, snakes and birds make their home there comfortably. Also, two endangered species, the red wolf and red cockaded woodpecker, reside in protection on the AEF farm.
